Training Resources
SND provides many visual journalism training opportunities though its Quick Courses, Roundtables, Annual Workshop & Exhibition, and other events. SND affiliates have workshops and conferences annually or more frequently.
SND also maintains databases of speakers and consultants who can provide training on a variety of design topics.
Dozens of other journalism organizations, nonprofit institutes and foundations offer training in print and online news design. You can search the Council of National Journalism Organizations Web site for events sponsored by these groups.
The Poynter Institute, which partners with SND in several areas, has many design resources, including the new online News University.
The American Press Institute, another SND partner, provides seminars throughout the year.
The World Association of Newspapers provides a variety of training events around the globe.
